“The Sound of nature”

Although I had previously visited Mount Mitake, this time I decided to embark on a solo Monday morning walk. While some individuals opted for cable cars, others began their hiking journey from the mountain’s base. I ventured onto a 2-kilometre trail known as “Rock Garden” for the very first time. The trail itself is straightforward and suitable for many individuals. This trail welcomes with the sound of nature !

As I continued along the hike, the trail led me in the direction of a stream, revealing its crystal-clear waters. The gentle sound of pebbles tumbling downstream and the sight of the sun casting its rays upon the verdant-covered rocks captivated me. Its breath-taking beauty left me in awe! The path concluded with a small waterfall. The rays of sunshine and the refreshing cold invigorate the spirit. It was a place where all worries seemed to fade away. The lush layers of green foliage evoked a sense of magnanimity, while the melodic sounds of the flowing water awakened a sense of grandeur within us. The contrast between the pristine water and the vibrant green rocks heightened the allure of the surroundings, prompting contemplation about life’s richness and depth.

This place is perfect for taking a break and enjoying a meal. Lush, tall trees surround it, while the sun peeks through, illuminating the vibrant green rocks. The water here is a stunning shade of bright white. It is a popular spot for people to dine and appreciate the beauty of life. Nature thrives here, displaying its richness and magnificence. It is undeniably breath-taking and makes a wonderful destination for family outings. Additionally, accessing the nearby tracks might require some effort, but the rewards of witnessing such beauty are worth it.

Access to this beautiful place

“The location is in close proximity to Okutama, accessible by a local train journey of approximately two and a half hours from Tokyo. Upon reaching Mitake Station, one can proceed to the cable car station either by bus or car. Alternatively, it is also possible to reach the cable car station by walking or taking a cable car directly from Mitake Station.”
