  • Leader of the consumer hi-tech business segment in Japan. Leading a sales team for the past ~1.5 years. It is one of the best opportunities for bringing together strategy, people, technology, and innovation to create value for esteemed global customers and drive sales in a competitive environment. ! This is one of the most enriching experiences in my professional life, where I am able to leverage the experience, nourish myself with new learnings, and provide mentorship to the teams.

  • Experience in creating winning propositions across consumer hi-tech, manufacturing, medical, telecom, transportation, and ISV business segments for the entire engineering services business of Japan for 5+ years.

Delivery Management and Technical Experience

  • Has managed large Japanese ODCs from offshore as well as from Japan. Instrumental in delivering stellar delivery performance with the highest quality. Instrumental in establishing a large Japanese ODC. 20+ years of experience.

Experience Summary:

  • Has a blend of experience in sales, business strategy, planning, presales, and global delivery management of large software delivery centres across global customers in Japan, the US, South Korea, and India for about 30 years. I believe in applying business strategy, business models, and project management practices in practical life.

21+ years of experience at HCL Technologies

  • I joined HCL Technologies as a technical manager. Since then, I have played different roles, such as vertical sales head, client partner, ODC head, delivery manager, head of presales, solution evangelist, process institutionalization leader, and leader of value creation.
  • Accomplishments: driving new areas of growth in existing businesses and opening new ones. Established offshore development canters.

Prior to HCL Technologies

  • For a leading Japanese company: technical leader or development manager for developing a CAD product for a leading Japanese company.
  • Team Leader: Automation of a design function of a large industrial boiler manufacturing company. One of the most challenging and comprehensive automations done at scale at that time and even now. Led a team in developing and integrating 175 applications.

First visit to Japan in 1997

  • My first visit to Japan was in 1997 as an engineer to develop CAD software for a leading Japanese organization.

Hobbies:

  • I have been writing thought leadership blogs for the past 15+ years in business, strategy, technology, and personnel development. I am working towards publishing the first book!
  • Reading strategy and management books is a special area of interest.
  • “Zen” is one of my favourite practices.
  • Learning Japanese is about learning Japanese culture!
  • In addition to the above, playing tennis, hiking, traveling, and exploring Japanese cuisines are some of the exciting hobbies.
